The Quartet

Jim – Granpa Boomer

The quiet one. Never, ever ask him about George Washington. Jim is an accomplished singer and plays a mean nose flute, guitar and ukelele, often at the same time and usually without being asked.

Jim sings lead in the quartet. That’s mostly the melody line of the song (unless he’s forgotten what the melody should be)

Jim also sings with the Colorado Chord Company and the Timberliners choruses.

Dave – Uncle Boomer

The financially responsible one. If you owe people money, Dave can help you. If you have too much money, Dave can help you too.

Dave sings baritone. That’s the leftover notes in the chords that the others aren’t singing. Never listen to solo baritone without adequate hearing protection.

Dave also sings with the Longs Peak Chorus

Geoff – Baby Boomer

Cat lover and vegetarian, Geoff is the normal one.

Geoff sings the Bass part, all the low notes that support the chord and/or the rhythm of the song. Geoff puts the Boom into The Boomers

When he’s not singing, Geoff does something important in Aerospace. We think he’s head of catering, but he hasn’t confirmed or denied this.

Geoff also sings in the shower*

There is no real evidence for this claim (fortunately)

Pierre – Euro Boomer

The technical one. Pierre loves to mess around with microphones, computers and web sites. He spends a lot of time resetting his breaker board and putting out small fires.

Pierre sings Tenor. That is a harmony line, usually above the lead. May contain frequencies only audible to dogs.

Pierre also sings in the Colorado Chord Company chorus
